Wobbly but still standing

Wobbly but Still Standing is a gentle 4-week online support group for parents and carer's of neurodivergent children.

  • Starts: Tuesday 26th August 12.30pm
  • Cost: $240 (NDIS claimable for self-managed participants)
  • Location : Online – private Zoom group, max 6 people

Each week has a loose theme, but we’ll go where the group needs to go — no pressure, no expectations, just a focus on you, the grown up behind the scenes.

Week 1: Landing Gently – Where Are You, Really? - We start by arriving just as we are. There’s space to share your story (if you want to), reflect on what brought you here, and say what you most need. This week is about exhaling.

Week 2: The Load We Carry – Tired, touched out, and trying. We name the exhaustion, the overthinking, and the mental load that comes with this role. No judgment — just honesty and solidarity.

Week 3: Other People & Overwhelm – From schools and services to family members and friends — this week we explore what happens when support doesn’t feel supportive… and how we hold boundaries anyway.

Week 4: Still Here – Reclaiming Ourselves & What Comes Next. We reflect, reconnect, and make space to honour the version of you that still exists beneath the caregiving. This week is about tiny shifts, quiet wins, and remembering you matter too.

We keep it small (max 6 people), real, and pressure-free — with space to listen, share, or just breathe.

No matter where you are on the journey — just starting out, knee-deep in the system, or quietly hanging by a thread — you are welcome here.

Can I use NDIS funding for this group?
If you're self-managed, the answer is usually yes — as long as the group aligns with your child's goals and supports your role as a parent/carer.

Most families claim under:
Improved Daily Living – Capacity Building

This funding area isn’t just for therapy — it can include supports that help you better understand and support your child, build your confidence, and improve how things run at home.

This group helps build your confidence, understanding, and emotional regulation — all of which directly support your child at home. Think co-regulation, sensory insight, reducing burnout, and sustaining your caring role.

We provide invoices with all the info needed to claim.

If you're plan-managed, we're not able to invoice plan managers just yet — but we're working on it. If that's a barrier for you, let us know.

And if you're self-funding — we know that's a big ask. We aim to keep groups affordable, practical, and filled with real support that actually helps.

Got questions? — we are always happy to talk it through.

In the meantime, take a deep breath, you are doing better than you think.  And you are not alone.  ship issues, we're here to provide the support and guidance you need to achieve your goals.
